Pakistan’s federal cabinet has greenlighted Air Sial, Pakistan’s third private airline, to extend its flight operations to seven additional international destinations.
This development marks a significant milestone for Air Sial as it ventures into the global arena. The decision, made during a recent cabinet meeting, paves the way for Air Sial to commence flights to China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, the UK, and Kuwait.
The approval, sanctioned under the National Aviation Policy 2023 and Air Services Agreement, underscores the government’s commitment to bolstering the aviation sector and facilitating enhanced connectivity for travelers.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his felicitations to the airline, underscoring the importance of expanding Pakistan’s aviation footprint globally.
Air Sial, inaugurated on December 9, 2020, embarked on its maiden domestic flight on December 25, 2020. Since then, it has steadily expanded its operations, with its international debut occurring on March 29, 2023, with King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah as its inaugural international destination.
