Pakistan’s daily COVID-19 cases fall to lowest in 8 months

COVID-19 curbs eased as coronavirus situation improves in Pakistan

Pakistan on Tuesday reported the lowest number of coronavirus cases since October. A total of 838 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest daily caseload since October 27 when the country reported 825 cases.

The country also reported at least 59 fatalities in the last 24 hours.

Pakistan has been witnessing a steady decline in coronavirus cases for the past week after which several lockdowns and restrictions were eased, schools were opened and business timings were further relaxed.

With the new cases, the total number of confirmed cases has reached 943,027, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) said. Almost 93% of those infected have recovered from the vrius.

Total deaths: 21,782

Total vaccine doses administered: 11 million
