UAE’s Ramadan 2024 campaign in Pakistan upholds the tradition of Iftar Meal distribution

UAE Embassy launches “Breaking the Fast” initiative in islamabad

The UAE Ambassador in Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, alongside embassy officials, took part in the “Breaking the Fast” initiative aimed at distributing Iftar meals in Islamabad.

The meals were distributed just before Maghrib Azan in the streets of Islamabad. The Iftar meals were offered to those on the streets, and drivers rushing home for Iftar with their families. The initiative seeks to provide sustenance to those who are away from home during the time of Iftar.

Speaking about the initiative, Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi emphasized its role in enhancing community cohesion and fostering a sense of familiarity, love, and interconnectedness among people. He highlighted how the initiative embodies the concept of community brotherhood, reflecting the originality, customs, and values of society while aiming to strengthen communication bridges within the community.

4,500 Iftar Meal boxes distributed in Pakistan

Meanwhile, the Emirates Red Crescent’s Ramadan 2024 program in Pakistan has continued its efforts in the Sindh province, distributing 4,500 Iftar meals as part of its ongoing project. This charitable endeavor is a testament to the UAE’s dedication to supporting communities in Pakistan during the holy month.

Drawing inspiration from Emirati traditions, the distribution of Iftar meals across Pakistan echoes similar initiatives in the UAE, where thousands of meal boxes are served daily to residents, embodying the principles of generosity and compassion deeply rooted in Emirati society.

In Sharjah, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is also actively engaged in distributing Iftar meals to pedestrians and passersby as part of its “Your Iftar is Ready” event. event.
