Xiaomi partners with Air Link to manufacture Smart TVs in Pakistan

Air Link Communication Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading mobile phone manufacturers and distributors, recently announced a significant collaboration with Xiaomi, a global consumer electronics and smartphone giant.

The partnership, revealed in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), will see Xiaomi venture into the realm of smart televisions, produced at Air Link’s state-of-the-art facility in Lahore, Pakistan.

Jiang, the global AIoT Head of Xiaomi, expressed unwavering confidence and support for this new project, emphasizing Air Link’s impressive track record in its previous collaborations with Xiaomi.

“The addition of Xiaomi smart TVs will potentially generate jobs opportunities and substantially increase Air Link’s revenue,” according to the official statement.

Xiaomi and Air Link had already established a strategic alliance for the local production of Xiaomi smartphones. However, the addition of smart TVs to their joint ventures is expected to have a significant impact. It has the potential to create new job opportunities and substantially increase Pakistani phone manufacture’s revenue, further solidifying their position as a key player in the consumer electronics market.
