City Islamabad app launched to facilitate the residents of the capital city
Islamabad administration has launched a smartphone app named “City Islamabad” to empower the residents of the capital city digitally.
The app launched by Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, Hamza Shafqaat, aims to improve communications between citizens and the city administration.
“The app will prove to be a blessing for the citizens of Islamabad. Now, they won’t have to stand in long queues outside public offices to get their issues resolved. They can simply get things done on their mobile phones” DC Islamabad said while talking to media.
The citizens can avail a number of facilities through the app such as register their vehicles, apply for any type of license, get their domiciles, birth or death certificates. The licenses and certificates would be delivered at home.
Moreover, people can utilize the city guide portal to find nearby hospitals, hotels, and emergency numbers.
The residents of Islamabad can also get minute-by-minute traffic updates on the app through Islamabad Traffic Police Radio Channel.
The all-in-one app is up and can be downloaded here for all android devices from the Google Play Store.
DC Islamabad has promised that the iOS version of the app would be released soon.
