Turkish Ambassador, official from Ministry of Education Turkey attend prize distribution ceremony of Pakistan’s largest Maths Olympiad
Islamabad – The national prize distribution ceremony of Pakistan’s Largest Maths Olympiad, Maarif Inter-Schools Maths Olympiad (MISMO), was held in Islamabad on March 8 to recognize the young mathematicians.
The “MISMO National Prize Distribution Ceremony” was organized by the Turkish Maarif Foundation, Pak-Turk Maarif International Schools & Colleges.
The ceremony was attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul, Educational Counsellor from Ministry of Education Turkey Dr. Ilhami Ayranci and Country Director Turkish Maarif Foundation Mr. Harun Kucukaladagli along with prestigious Turkish guests.
More than 16,000 students participated in MISMO 2019, held on November 30, 2019, to provide an opportunity to the students of Grade 5, 6, 7 and 8 to show their incredible potential in Mathematics. The MISMO exam was held in 44 exam centers across 20 cities and 754 different schools of Pakistan.
MISMO is the largest Maths Olympiad in Pakistan and the biggest forum to broaden students’ minds and to assess their mathematical abilities.
The national prize distribution ceremony was organized to distribute awards and cash prizes among winners from Maarif Inter-School Mathematics Olympiad – MISMO 2020. Ms. Sadia Sohail, a student of grade 8th, was awarded the title of “Al-Khwarizmi of Pakistan” and also cash prize due to her intellectual excellence.
Turkish Ambassador H.E. Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul, shared his enthusiasm and congratulated the team of the Turkish Maarif Foundation and Pak Turk Maarif International Schools and Colleges for holding a successful national level event.
“It is an honor to host and celebrate the performances of the students coming for different schools from all over Pakistan” said the ountry Director Turkish Maarif Foundation Mr. Kucukaladagli. He said that the ambitions of the Turkish Maarif Foundation Pakistan are deeply rooted in the relationship between the two countries and will be playing its role as a bridge of opportunities in education. It is our mission to invest in the future of potential students in Pakistan.
Pak-Turk Maarif programs in Pakistan include purpose-built school/college campuses, research and technical resource centers and providing affordable quality education with all allied academic services of international standards. This is accumulating as the prospect of the biggest partnership in education in the history of the relationship between the two countries.
To compete with the developed countries, the foundation has taken the course of mobilizing partnerships in brotherly countries and target advancements in science, technology and education. For the purpose proficient academicians will be engaged to assure maximized impact of the foundation.
