Police will be deployed at all churches and special police pickets will be erected to ensure foolproof security
Islamabad police have finalized an effective and full proof security planning for the upcoming Christmas celebrations. Special deployment will be ensured at Churches and public places, police said.
A high-level meeting presided by Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajid Kiyani decided on the security measures in Christmas which was attended by Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Station House Officers and representatives of various churches.
After Quetta terror incident, Islamabad police decided to install walk-through gates at the entrance of main churches. Each church has been asked to provide two volunteers, who will assist local police at the entrance and for checking as well to ensure full proof security.
Police with special security jackets will be deployed on all churches and one gate would be used for entrance. The night service programs would be provided to local police timely for advance security arrangements with Proper lighting arrangements.
The SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani said that Islamabad police are with Christian community on this happy occasion and foolproof security arrangements have been made on this occasion.
He said that security duty at the public places including parks is being made more effective. Security has been tightened at entry and exit points of the capital and special checking have been ordered for this special occasion.
He further ordered effective patrolling in their respective areas and Plain cloth police officials and well-equipped policemen will also perform duties near the churches and public places.
Along with this police also decided to take strict action against beggars and asked hotels to maintain a proper check in and out records of visitors.
