Islamabad United beat Karachi Kings, will face Peshawar Zalmi now

Karachi Kings are out of the PSL T20 after facing defeat from Islamabad United by 9 wickets at Dubai Cricket Stadium, Dubai.

Islamabad United skipper Misbah ul Haq chose to field first. His pacers did not let him down at all, especially as Mohammad Sami grabbed 5 wickets for 8 runs in 4 overs, which helped United in restricting Karachi Kings to 111/9 which is the lowest total of the Pakistan Super League.

Andre Russel, Mohammad Irfan and Badree took one wicket each, Ravi Bopara made well played 37 runs while Simmons scored 19 runs.

In reply to a short target, Brad Haddin and Dr Smith took their team to home, both scored fifties in all important clash, Brad scored unbeaten 51 while Smith scored 50 not out.

Misbah led Islamabad United will now take on Afridi led Peshawar Zalmi in 3rd and last play off of Pakistan Super League (PSL) to qualify for the Final of the tournament at Dubai Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Both teams are star-studded and quite capable of beating any side but Peshawar Zalmi, despite losing first play off will have the upper hand in the match due to their brilliant performance throughout the tournament.

Islamabad United’s start to the tournament was not up to the mark but they have outclassed Karachi Kings in the 2nd play off of the event.

Shahid Afridi, Brad Hodge and Wahab Riaz will be the key players to watch from Zalmi side while Misbah, Brad Haddin and Dwayne Smith will be the players to look for in United’s side.

Match will start at 9 pm PST on 21 February 2016.
