The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) introduced the Murree Tourist Bus (MTB) service, a new initiative designed to enhance the travel experience for visitors to the beautiful regions of Murree and Galiyat.
This specialized bus service features two carefully selected routes, each designed to highlight the area’s natural beauty and popular attractions.
Route 1: Kashmir Point to NathiaGali
The first route starts at the scenic Kashmir Point and guides passengers through Jhika Gali, Kaladana, and NathiaGali, before returning to the starting point. This round trip, available for Rs1,200 per person, operates between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
It offers a leisurely day trip filled with stunning views and tranquil landscapes, making it an ideal option for those eager to explore Murree’s natural allure.
Clad in pine, walnut, oak and maple trees, NathiaGali is one of the stunning hill resorts in the Galiyat region.
Route 2: Kashmir Point to Patriata
The second route also begins at Kashmir Point but follows a different path through Jhika Gali, Lower Topa, Expressway, Dena, New Murree, and ends at Patriata. Priced at Rs700 per person, and operates between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
It provides tourists with an opportunity to experience the diverse scenery and popular destinations in Murree and its surroundings.

Rawalpindi-Murree glass train project
In June, the CM Punjab also approved the Rawalpindi-Murree tourist glass train project. The Punjab government plans to hire an international consultant for the glass train project. It was also decided at that time high-rise hotel buildings obstructing the natural scenery of Mall Road Rawalpindi will be removed and the hotels in the GPO Chowk will be relocated to an alternative location. Uniform appearance, signs and color schemes for old buildings on Mall Road were also ordered for implementation.
