Dewan Motors, in collaboration with Eco-Green Motors Limited (EGML), unveiled its first small electric vehicle (EV), the Honri Ve, marking a significant step in Pakistan’s automotive industry.
The launch event, held in Karachi, on June 6, was attended by top executives from both companies, highlighting their commitment to bringing innovative and eco-friendly transportation solutions to the local market.
According to the company, production is slated to begin in August 2024.
The announcement followed Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (DFML)’s recent disclosure of a toll manufacturing agreement with EGML, allowing DFML to produce the Honri Ve. This move is expected to solidify DFML’s position as a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles in Pakistan.
The unveiling of Honri Ve came just a day after DFML announced the resumption of commercial production for its KIA ‘Shehzore’, a special-purpose commercial vehicle.
The launch ceremony for the Shehzore is scheduled for the first week of June 2024, indicating a busy year ahead for DFML.
